Optimal Video Parameters for Eris?

Been having some issues with this lately. Trying to find out the best parameters for viewing movies and such on my Eris (i.e. container, encoder, bitrate, fps, resolution/size, same for audio). No matter how many combinations I try, I always seem to get audio lag or the a/v is out of sync.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.
