Not sure if this can be fixed or if i just got a faulty device.
When I'm making a call, incoming or outgoing,
I can hear the person on the other end just fine. but they hear me as if I'm far away and in a can or wind tunnel. I have switched phones and varified that its pretty awful to be on the other end, it also echos a bit for the other person.
I tried the built in voice recorder app and it records normally for a phone.
i tried the echo test for skype and its quiet as well, less harsh with speakerphone enable but very quiet.
i have tried restarting, powering off and back on, and even a factory reset to no change.
I've seen some other phones that have a hidden menu where you can change the gain settings on the phone
The only functional hidden settings i can find are
3845#*870# which has a sound settings with loop backs options(seems to change nothing)
*#*#4636#*#* which seems useless except for data, battery and wifi.
These menus don't appear to have the options as seen with other phones like the nexus 4 or droid bionic.
My Optimus is out of the box less than 3 days old from boost's website.
would i be able to walk in a boost store for an exchange or would i need to get an RMA going?
