Root Optimus L9 P769 Question

I have been using an LG Optimus L9 for a while now (Tmobile prepaid using Walmart Straight Talk). I really like the phone but....when they upgraded to 4.1.2 it changed a a number of things and two that I do not like. First, when you turn off on the screen and turn it back on it shows small images of things/places you have gone that I would prefer not be there. Second, when I go to my contacts in the past it would allow me to go straight to my favorites, now it will only first go to contacts and then I have to go to favoirtes. There are other things I don't care for but can live with them. I prefer the basics. After this happened I had my phone rooted by an online service but they would not install any roms for the phone due to bugs. Now that the phone is rooted is there any way of going back to an earlier version of android or get rid of these two issues. Considering selling the phone and buying the exact phone with an earlier android version and not upgrading. ????

You should be able to go into -menu- -syetem settings- -lock screen- and adjust wallpaper, clock, shortcuts etc.

As far as People(contacts) when it starts on all contacts you should be able to flick the whole thing to the left and be on favs, if I close mine on favs that's where it opens the next time. If yours doesnt try clearing cache and data on that app.
If you really want to go back to ver 10G (I wouldn't recommend it) you can Google Lelus offline flash KDZ .
Android is highly customizable and you should be able to tweak it pretty close to how you want it on a stock ROM. I hope this helps.
