Optimus s vs t

Well, my only "experience" with the T is what I've seen online - reviews and videos. I'm not sure it's easy to take away to Sprint bias, but trying to, I'd probably still rather have the S. The button switching (the hard coded buttons at the bottom) on the T version bothers me. Given that they're pretty closely related siblings, though, I guess it does come down to the carrier.

I agree. I do like the buttons on the bottom of the t way more though. I think it looks better, but the designated camera button on the s is a must have feature for a smart phone imo, so overall the s is a win.

Optimus-S, Micro SD card is Externally on Ours, the T is beid battery Door cover.

The Four seperated Button wins over the combined center Button, and two side one's

Does one know wat tat center one does besides te two functions given, if owned?

Interface of stills or other looks very interesting, but a App on hte market changes all that.

Otherwise. tey look identical in all oter ways, camera button or not, I am sure a Long press gets you into te camera one way or another button.

I prefer the button arrangement and the clean no-nonsense design of the S over either the T or vortex.

The M (metro pcs) is more interesting from a visual standpoint but my understanding is that it doesn't have the solid feel in hand that the T/Vortex/S versions have.

From a carrier standpoint, verizon has the best network but the highest prices, sprint has the best coverage at the best price (since they have a roaming agreement w Verizon), Tmo and MetroPCS are good values if their coverage meets your needs.

i went into a tmo store and checked out their version before the s was released and was very disappointed in the design. i much prefer the 4 seperate buttons and overall look of the s version. plus, it comes without the lg launcher, which i really don't understand the love for.

i would've preferred the optimus s had touch sensitive buttons for the main control features and have the call and end as physical buttons. i loved the samsung moments setup.

as for which one i say optimus s from experience with my optimus s and by looking at that pic of the optimus t. their basically the same phone with slightly different key layouts. the optimus just looks better and more pratical imo.

I tend to prefer stock versions of Android (or, the closer to stock the better) over versions super customized by carriers. The reason mainly is that the closer to a stock version a phone is, the easier, in theory, it is to upgrade them to the next version of android and the easier it is for the carrier to roll out the update. I love 2.2.1, and I'm chomping at the bit to get 2.3.

They are pretty much the same thing so I would have to go with the Optimus S because it's on Sprint. :)

What no M comparison???

I tested both T,M and S. The M has a glass surface which seems to make the phone seem solid and responsive. I felt that the other phones with plastic screens were harder to use.(Sorry coming from an iPhone screen).

T feels a weird as it seems the body is plastic or covered in plastic

S feels better over the T.

The S is more pure Android than the T with the T's non Android button placement.

The S has a much easier time installing/removing SD cards.

Supposedly the T has more international roaming abilities.

All in all I prefer the S, but the T is very nice as well.
