Optimus V Reported as EV-DO Rev. A

One of the larger questions about the Optimus V is whether it would have EV-DO Rev. A. According to the one person that has one, it does.

"You can dial *#*#4636#*#* to check which revision the cdma chip is using. just go to "phone info" after dialing the code."

"I entered the code *#*#4636#*#*. It says 'Network type: CDMA - EvDo rev. A."

Damn your on this more than I am and I been all over the interwebs the last few weeks just waiting. I'm on metropcs and it sucks I will say that I like the look of there optimus compared to the optimus v.

Yeah...the EvDo rev. A is actually listed in the standard phone info screens...no special code or program needed to confirm. Click Settings, and then Status and scroll down to Mobile Network Type. EvDo rev. A is listed there on the screen.
