Root Optimus V won't acknowledge Dialer codes

Hi There,
I just bought a used Optimus V. LG-VM670 running cyanogen 2.3.7
I'm trying to switch my Virgin Mobile account to this new phone but it won't acknowledge the dialer codes. (such as ##6343# for the MEID menu, etc...) I enter the code and nothing happens. Same with all the codes they gave me. I've tried actually hitting 'send' but it just tries to call the number. Any suggestions?

Problem is it doesn't have the framework for the codes, you'll have to flash a froyo rom. Also you are rooted if your running ginger bread so you can get allot more help from the all things root section.
