Help Option removed from settings after Jellybean update

Please help!! After the Jellybean update I noticed an option removed from the settings. Before the update I was able to choose to use both CDMA & EVDO or CDMA only or EVDO only. This is important because in some places EVDO has a stronger signal than CDMA. I cannot find the option in the settings after the update. Has the option been moved to a different location after the update or is there an app that will let me switch between CDMA and EVDO?

you can type *983*3640# in ur dialer n change there

I have no idea what your talking about. The only dialer I know of is the one used to make phone calls.

yes thats the only dialer. enter the code there and a screen will come up, tap where it says set preferred network type and a list of options will appear

ive typed this in the dialer and nothing happens. What do you press after putting the code in the dialer?

my bad. it does not work if you copy and paste the code. you have to type it then the menu comes up. Also there is an app that does the same thing. Ive had it with ZTE. Never again. after I noticed the missing option I spent 3 hours trying to figure out a solution without doing a factory reset. Thanks for the code!
