Help Orange outline in browser

vacedam

Lurker
Hi there. Recently when I am on the internet there is an orange outline that appears around the part of the page that I 'click' on. It seems to highlight what I've pressed which means I then need to tap that area again in order for it to register my input. This is very frustrating because sometimes it won't do anything or will take me to a different page.

This happens on the stock browser or any other browser- Dolphin, Opera etc or in any news feed app.

Please help.

I get an orange area when I click on a button/link. Its there to show you what you have just clicked on. This orange colour is part of the framework-res.apk.
I dont have to click it again however, it actions immediately, and I dont get taken to some random link.

Have you tried clearing cache+data for your browser?
Try cache first, but be aware clearing data will mean your history and bookmarks will be lost (unless you sync bookmarks to google)

Cheers Hawker

That is what used to happen when using my browser-an orange highlight would appear where I touched. However now there is an extra fuzzy outline around that area and it appears even before I tap anywhere.
When I launch my browser it opens as normal and then it looks like another version launches on top. It's not a new tab or anything just a slightly different version of the same page loads, always with some part surrounded by this weird fuzzy orange outline.
Also when I return to the google search page when searching for something any result I've already tapped on will have this fuzzy orange outline instead of just turning purple like it should.

When playing around with the settings in google I noticed if I disable Javascript the fuzzy orange outline disappears but obviously the browsing experience is poor and old fashioned feeling. Could it be a problem with Javascript and if so how can I resolve it?
Please please help anyone this is driving me scatty!!

I just got a pebble watch and chrome started doing this to me. In settings under accessibility there is a place where you can click for enhanced web accessibility. Clicking that fixed it.
I am guessing it is in android to help navigate with an alternate keyboard. (Like a watch interface)
