Ordering Thanksgiving dinner.

Maybe I'll actually get some turkey this year, previous Thanksgiving dinners in Jinan have usually been Peking duck.
until you came to China? do they celebrate it there? just seems odd....LOL

Yeh, I've had many Thanksgiving dinners in China. Nothing is odd to me now. One thing that always got me even before I came to China, is how the USA seems to celebrate St Patrick's day, which is a national holiday for Ireland.

St. Patty's day. Yeah we have parades and stuff. They don't do that in Ireland.

Anywho... My research tells me I'd need 2-5 hours to reheat my cooked meal. Damn this pandemic! You used to be able to get it delivered hot.

This was my Thanksgiving dinner last year , this year since I am probably going to be on the road somewhere , I stopped and bought stuff for a truck driver portable Thanksgiving dinner :D

For the last decade I've enjoyed a traditional Thanksgiving dinner at my cabin. I've smoked or baked the turkey and everyone brought their favorite dish to round out the feast. Thanksgiving in the woods is a lot of fun with friends and family. This year I'm not sure what we will do. My wife just had a knee replacement and will not be able to do the cabin.
I might just smoke out a turkey breast or bake a small bird. I have to have some turkey. :)

since Thanxgiving will be smaller this year. i just had a thought of grilling up some cornish game hens instead of turkey.....its a thought that i have not yet finialized.

No Go Turkey!

We are doing low key this thanksgiving, having just my mother, and her boyfriend over, with myself for turkey et all :)
Just basic, turkey, squash, cranberry sauce, stuffings too. And a ton of left overs, maybe last year was around two or three weeks of just consuming different dishes. :)

I've given up again in 2020. I know there was a way to order Turkey, Ham and all the fixings hot on delivery but in these uncertain times
I guess it's better to eat with the one's your with. Because if you can't eat with the one's you love. Eat (with) the ones you're with.
