Help Original file browser not enough

Hello.
I recently bought the new Nexus 7 (running JB 4.3) , and decided to transfer save files of a game I have been playing on my Galaxy S2. I had no trouble with moving them to my PC, but the trouble started when I tried to load them on my tablet. The game has a "Load file" option, but that opens an Android file browser where I can pick an audio file, an image, or a video. The saves have a .sol extension, so they do not appear on the list.
Is there any way to bypass or replace this browser?

(Placing the save in saves file doesn't work, it has to be imported.)

There are a lot of file explorer apps you can install. ES File Explorer is popular and free, so why not try installing that and seeing whether it will let you do what you want?

TBH I've never heard of a file browser that only shows certain file types. It sounds like some pre-defined search for media files. Have you tried opening that file browser separately and checking its settings?

I wasn't able to post a screenshot before, but it looks like I can now.
This is what I meant. There is no option to pick the file I need.
It looks like something from Android itself, not from the game. That's why I posted here.

It's Corruption of Champions.Text-based RPG with both combat and adult theme.

Should I talk to the person who made the Android version about this issue? I doubt it's their fault (why would they break the game on purpose?), but maybe they will be able to change it somehow...

try root explorer this has been my choice for a while now. yes it is not free. you must be rooted for the r/w features

I can't do that. The only thing that shows up is the window visible in the screenshot. I thought someone here might know how to disable or change it.

Can you back up just that game and its data from the first and restore to the second?

Do you mean both Android devices? That would probably work, but I still want to use the save file editor, and it's only available on PC's.
The saves on my phone have to be edited, and once I get them on my PC and edit them, I can't get them back in because the file browser doesn't display .sol files.

Oh, and the files aren't broken. I am able to import them into the game on my PC using the standard Windows file browser.

Sorry, I don't understand the problem then.

I think Helium may let you move what you need from the SGS2 to the N7 via backup / restore.

Regardless of file types.

The added requirements of intermediate PC editing - sorry, I got nothing.

Btw - do you *know* if that feature in the game would install your sol data if the browser had it? The app on your PC and the mobile app may be two different things.

Devs typically show all import types so this may not be the browser issue you think it is.

Talk to the dev, best luck! :)

It should work. The exact same file worked imported on PC when imported from SGS2. I don't see why it wouldn't work on another device.
I'm going to ask the dev, maybe he know something about this.

Thanks, everyone.
