Root Os to sd

OS TO SD Just wondering if this would be possible .
I heard someone say they had done it .

Ive heard of a dual boot where /data is partitioned off as a /system then SD becomes all /data. This only works for 2.1 though

Haven't heard of anyone doing what you mention. SD is much slower than Internal memory, no matter what class card you use and the OS uses a /cache partition so even if it was possible, I can't see why anyone would want to do it. Performance surely can only be hindered.

Further more, I cannot think of any benefit whatsoever.

Thanks Dan just what i thought .That is what they said dual booting .
As you say i cant see any gain to be had .Thanks for your reply mate .:D;)

No worries.

Once rooted, things that ARE worth doing:

a2SD+ (using ext partition on SD card as internal memory)
S-OFF, flashing S-OFF HBOOT (ignores Security flag) allowing even greater control
Custom Mtd Layout (repartitioning of internal memory to give greater memory to apps)

:)
