Root OTA 2.2's Effect On ROM Manager/Bootstrapper?

I've held off updating to the OTA 2.2 and I'm still on the original leaked 2.3.9 build until I see how things shake out. However, I'm very curious as to whether or not ROM Manager / Bootsrapper still works on a rooted OTA 2.2 setup. Without RM and the Bootstrapper we can effectively kiss custom ROMs goodbye as there'd be no way to load them (at least to my knowledge). Is someone better in the know here? I know P3Droid has tweeted that this new bootloader update will not effect the "something big" that's coming this Friday, so I'm holding out hope.
