OTA Being Released

Ummm read this post in the same thread: xda-developers - View Single Post - OTA 5.5.893 Released!

he got an update b/c he was running another ROM (look at his battery icon here: xda-developers - View Single Post - OTA 5.5.893 Released! )

Finally, read this post: xda-developers - View Single Post - OTA 5.5.893 Released!

The screen shot does indeed say that - which means he was already on a 5.5.893 update to begin with.

I'm betting he never changed his server back on cheesecake to the production server, and so he was notified of an update from one of the dev or qa servers.

FWIW, I already have 5.7.893.....
 
Get the 5.5 and 5.6 updates.

On 5.7 it seems WebTop is missing, so it was probably not a complete update to begin with....
 
I am kinda of waiting this one out and see what happens after the update. I rooted my Droid 1, so I think i will just wait this one out. Other then the lame network issues, I have zero problems with the phone.

May I ask a favor? Can you go thru titanium and verify the webtop apk is not included in the list of apps? Webtop is a big deal to me. Lol. If it's not included in the newest update, that would be bad. I know sometimes the webtop version under about phone isn't listed until you actually use it when updating the firmware. I'm hoping that's the case with the latest update.

So where are the update files. This is why i am not wanting to do this, these 893 threads are all over the map.
 
So one more question, are the network issues resolved with this update? For the people that have been running this, is it fixed.
 
leaked only, at this time, Kari. latest news is within the next 30 to 60 days for an official OTA.
 
The OTA has not been released. When it is it will appear magically available in Settings | About Phone | System Updates.

5.n.893 are leaked versions and there is no GUARANTEE that they represent what is in the OTA.

You get to decide if you want to dabble or if you want to wait.

Moto and vzw saying 30 to 60 days for an update? Lol,,,swaying me so close to a Nexus device...
