OTA Update Help

I have recently purchased a T-Mobile Lg L9 over amazon. I then activated it with a Straight-Talk Sim Card instead of using T-Mobiles plan. A few days ago July 10th to be exact, they released an OTA update from ICS to JellyBean. I'm not entirely sure if it is just delay from a wave style update such as OTA or because I have switched from the carriers sim, but I have not been pushed the P76920d update and when I request or pull the update I am not informed of one. Should I just wait and see what happens or switch my sim cards for a few days and run on WiFi? Any info on how T-Mobile goes about OTA updates would also be greatly appreciated! Thanks in Advance!

The update is pushed to the phone by the service provider. Since you're not on T-Mobile, you will not get T-Mobile OTA updates. Contact ST to ask when/if they plan on pushing the JB update to your phone. Since it is not a ST phone, probably never.

I have experience updating a device manually, do you think they might release the update on their website? If not will searching around the web provide anything?

Yes the lg tool but keep the device on for about 2days back to back and make sure the device is on about 12Am to 4am. And sometimes they push 2 one good and one bad u may got the good one and didn't notice it. Tmobile updates are tricky and funny

Thank you guys for the suggestions ! I switched my sim back to T-Mobile, turned WiFi off, switched mobile data to use 2G networks only, then force closed Google Services Framework, cleared it's cache then turned WiFi back on. Repulled the update and now my phone smells of the oh so sweet Jelly Bean! Hope this will help others who wish to update their devices. Thanks for everyones helpful comments!
