Root OTA Update troubles

Hey guys,

I did a noob thing and rooted my device BEFORE I took the update and it didn't install and threw errors in TWRP Recovery upon installing the update. It wouldn't let me past the OTA screen on the Homescreen too.

I tried factory resetting with wiping Data and it still wouldn't take. So I ended up flashing [ROM] [KRT16M] [Android 4.4] AOSP KitKat [pure aosp 4.4 built from source] [07.11] with PA Gapps and everything's fine....But it's still bugs me that I can't update.

I still have the Stock ROM backed up just in case. If I unroot, restore Factory Recovery and re-lock the Bootloader that should do it, right? If it is I have no clue where to get the Factory Image and in what order I should do things.

Any help or answers is appreciated.

Yeeeeeeeeep. There are some tools on XDA that will do that process for you.

Just found [TOOL] 11/05/13 One Click Factory Restore KRT16M 4.4 (dead or alive) ran everything, booted up fine but it never asked me for an update like before. Strange.

I just tried System Update via Settings and it says " Your system is up to date" but under Android version it still says "4.4", I thought we were all on 4.4.1 after the update. Can someone check and confirm, please?

It looks like it flashed the factory image that Google provides which is what the OTA was suppose to take the phone to, so you are up to date. I thought, like many others that it would be 4.4.1 based on pre-release leaks. But alas, I guess it wasn't.
