OTA Update?

Is this thing gonna get gingerbread?

[darkalchemyxex]

All xperia plays come preloaded with gingerbread even the verizon version however the reason why verizon model OS version dosent match is due to their gingerbread OS is modified.

[mills23]

What is it missing then?

[kool kat2]

I think its just the look of it. Are you talking about the blue theme that comes out in most xperia play pictures?
Because thats sonys UI. Verizon xplays don't have it. Android features are the same i believe.

[mills23]

I was thinking about Skype.

[brons2]

There is a Verizon specific Skype that only runs on the Verizon 3G network, and then there is the normal Skype that only runs on WiFi.

[mills23]

So i have to install both?

[littlerm]

The new version of Skype runs fine over 3G for voice and video calls on the Verizon Xperia Play.

How do I switch to video calls?

[redhillblood]

Go into the skype app press tbe menu button and go into settings check the box for allow video calls and u should be good to go. But u now have 2 skypes on ur phine 1 of which is absolutely useless. I wish verizon would stop preloading apps to our phones and give us the option as to what we want. U cant even uninstall this piece of shit!
