OTA Update

[kylecummins]

Just woke up and had an OTA update on my galaxy nexus.

Hit install, rebooted and installed very fast.

Any ideas what this is for? Volume fix, video fix?

The first OTA for GSM phones is the volume fix.

You're GSM, correct?

No update for Verizon, yet.

no no no. not that kind of volume fix. there was an issue that caused those in EU to experience erratic volume behavior.

sorry buddy, he wasnt referring to the volume being low problem. so keep the volume+

[kylecummins]

Wow are they planning to fix the low ringers, sound, speaker etc

lol seriously. all i've heard is that the speaker volume is borderline embarrassing.

it is. if i were a good enough dev, i would break volume+ apart and see what it modifies and bake this into a mod. i'm gonna try and contact the dev of that app and see if he/she would be willing to give up some info in regards to that. i'm thinking this is going to be a dead end, though.

[kylecummins]

The speaker volume for GPS, speakerphone, and even music is terrible.

not to mention I have my phone on max volume and I cant even hear notifications/rings in my pocket.

[DucatiDude]

If the phone is in my top breast pocket..and I'm indoors...I might hear the ring and notifications...

[kylecummins]

i know volume+ is an option but this is something that needs to be addressed by google/samsung
