Help OTA Updates failed

Hi all, yesterday I received notification of an OTA update from Vodafone for my HTC Desire S, it said 1.47.161.2 was available. I set it to download but it didn't finish saying that the download was corrupted, I cancelled it and asked it to download again, this time it wouldn't move beyond 0% so I cancelled it again using the 'Decline' update button as it was the only option. Now I can't get the update, if I go to Settings ->About Phone -> Software Updates it tells me that no updates are available. When I look at the software version it's still on the old release.

The update worked fine on a friends Desire S

Can anyone suggest how I can apply the update now?

Thanks.

You can either wait for the network to cycle round and detect that your phone isn't up-to-date or, your best bet to get it sorted with minimum trial and error, phone the Vodaphone techies and get them to help you.

(You could clear the provider related cache on your phone or do a soft reset, but I've no idea if those will work.)

The provider of the OTA is, in this case, HTC. In Settings, under 'Manage applications', there are a list of apps that relate to HTC and updates to the phone, such as HTC Checkin Service, etc. These may have data which can be cleared to help with certain OTA update problems.
