Root OTA Updates...

If you've rooted your Desire and an OTA update comes and you update-


...what happens :/

Do your root changes get over-written?

What if you're on a different ROM- where does the OTA update to in your phone...and what affect will it have?

I'm not sure what will happen if you have a generic rom (rooted) with OTA, but from what I understand, if you have a custom rom, you won't be able to download or install the OTA updates.

On a custom ROM it generally just won't work. On a stock ROM it will remove your root but you should then be able to do it again.
