Help OTG USB Galaxy Nexus root needed?

ensingg

Lurker
I just bought a OTG adapter to read SD cards on my Galaxy Nexus.
Its a non-rooted device and I like to keep it that way because its brand new.
I found a USB Host controller program that reports there is is nu S3C driver. But it sees the memory card.
Mounting doesn't give an error but does't work. Is this because its not rooted?
Do I need to root the device or are they other ways?

The protocol for reading ext memory requires root to install via app or there are a couple of customs roms with the function built in, I believe.
You can plug in mice, keyboards, etc without root though.

I've had mixed results with stickmount, I'll give the other one a try.

Anyone know of an app for this that doesn't require root? Otherwise, hopefully google will fix with a software update soon.
