I sure have thought of a bt keyboard with the EVO, even with my current Hero, but could not find one that was small enough yet large enough to type.

TS

cool! Let us know if you find one. I was imagining something along the lines of the chat pads that attach to my XBOX and PS3 controllers but I'm not sure if anyone would develop something like that

They sell bluetooth keyboards. It would be funny to prop it up on the kickstand and whip out a bluetooth keyboard to get some work done on the road.

Count me in. I've lurked Precentral (on my Pre) daily & posted semi-often on the Accessories forum there. Can't wait to ditch Palm! I've got a June/July date with Android!

Going to replace my Pre car charger for the 5th time tomorrow. Hopefully this one lasts me until the Evo release.

i hope the people that run this forum don't let any of those Precentral bible thumper moderators become moderators over here after Palm goes out of business.

I'm here after receiving a PM from Gekko.

I do like WebOS, now even more with this new 800MHz kernel, but the device seems like it was put together by pre-schoolers. Mine has terrible Oreo, screen blotches, and just sucks in terms of hardware.

EVO 4G here I come, I've always liked a lot of aspects about Android and now I'll finally be able to check it out.

It took me 10 seconds to launch the calendar today with the stock CPU frequencies. That is just ridiculous.

my Centro is very fast and functional for basic needs - but when i see Android Phones and iPhones - i feel like i'm stuck in the Dark Ages.

this EVO can't come fast enough!

Thanks man, I agree with everyone here... the EVO can't come fast enough.

Everyday I use this Pre and I am just awestruck by how flimsy it is. I mean sometimes when I'm pulling it out of my pocket I'm almost worried it will just break.

I remember when I played with the HTC Hero a while back the build was incredible, and I expect nothing less from the EVO. Finally I'll have a phone that feels as good as it works again.

I just have no sympathy for Palm anymore. They put out such a cheap phone, and I don't understand how the people at Precentral always jump into threads saying "LAUNCH DAY PRE WORKING PERFECT". How can mine be so loose and weathered with just regular use and they have perfect Pre's? Probably just super fanboys that will lie to the end.

Actually, my June 5th Pre really is working fine. The is a little give from the screen but it isn't like the Oreo videos that we have seen. I still can't wait to get rid of it. It's way to slow for my life.

Yeah my Pre is working OK too. I didn't overclock though and the slowness is starting to irritate me. Mostly, like any proper geek smartphone user, I just want to have the latest / greatest. I also want to jump onto Android :-P.

When I was getting the Pre last July Sprint didn't have any Android phones so I went with Palm. I still quite like it -- just not enough to keep for another year. I will miss the type-and-search though (start typing, can do search / contacts). Please enlighten me if Sense does that; I haven't really played around with it too much.

i had the Pre for a weekend at launch. the cheap plastic build quality can't be denied by anyone. Giz was right when they said it was Fisher Price quality. holding an iPhone or HTC phone vs. a Pre is like night and day. the bugs, lack of basic features, and poor intuitiveness is another story.

i've used PalmOS for 10+ years and i'll miss the PIMs - but it's time to move on.

i'm here. my pre is great. the evo will be better. if only the evo knew that, someday, i will leave it, too. i'm a fickle bastard.

Well stated! Bravo! I'm the same exact way. There's only so much loyalty you can have to a brand/product. I'm one of those guys who upgrade and jump on gadget bandwagons based on what I want at that moment. The pre has served its purpose and is still a good phone but I want more now. And yes...I will leave the EVO for EVO2.

Yeah, my Pre was a good improvement over my Touch Pro in some ways, not so much in others. I like to check out whatever is available and with yearly upgrades, it's relatively inexpensive to always have the flagship device on Sprint.

I'm a webOS / Sprint Pre user who is lurking here as well! Nice thread idea.

I'm more than happy with webOS -- it's better than iPhone OS -- and I love Sprint

The Pre, however, is a hardware nightmare. Plastic (read: easy to scratch) screen, wobbly slider, dust pockets everywhere.

I'm ready to jump to Android, but I was waiting for the right hardware.

The EVO4G is that.

Yup Pre owner here can't wait for the EVO to come out. The hardware and battery life are a joke with the Pre, looking forward to coming over to an Android platform.

So I'm no longer lurking... I've switched out my Pre for a Hero... Miss the 3D apps, but still happier over all! Android is definitely an awesome OS, can't wait for the EVO!
