I just got on the Otterbox web site and it now says that the Droid X case is now coming soon. I am waiting to get one, and will be getting one.

Can't blame you at all: they probably have the best protection around... although the new Innocase Rugged may give them a run for their money. Either way, you may be left waiting a while for either of these hardcore cases: at least that's the way it was with the Incredible for both.

I love their cases but damn they take a long time to release. They still don't have any Droid Incredible, HTC Desire, or Evo cases. If they go at the same rate for this one it'll be a few months before we have one in our hands.
