Otterbox case for the HTC EVO 4G LTE.

Anyone looking for the Defender can find it cheap here for $40 (free shipping if you spend $50 I believe). You can grab the $10 car charger for free pretty much over other sites (everywhere else I've looked has it for $50!). Also has the commuter cheap as well.

I bought 2 cases over Memorial Day weekend and they had a 15% off everything deal, so $34 for each defender!

That's straight from Otterbox (just edited my post) ... I would, I just dont want it taking 2 weeks if Amazon possibly gets them tomorrow. So was curious if anyone has ordered directly from Otterbox before, and if so, how long did it take.

I suspect Amazon and others will get very very soon. Rather no tax, fast shipping.

I just put the Commuter on and I don't think it is too bad. Does add some thickness over the gell case, but i think it gives it a good grip. I think they gave me the wrong screen cover though, so I might have to mod it a bit.

I went straight through Otterbox when my Amazon one got cancelled. I forget which day I ordered it but I got it today. My print sheet inside the package says 5-26. It came Fedex.I think I ordered it last week on Friday.

Noone around me had them...called best buy..only had black... Sprint store said they didn't have any..until I said I was just in the store and they had the black..lol..and radioshack didn't have any...so I think I'm just gonna order one tonight right thru otterbox and cancel my hold at radioshack...
 
I posted above about the commuter I got. It has a little rubber flap covering the charging port but it you cut that little flap off then yes it will fit. I don't know about the defender.

How does the camera button work? Any issues with the case with ports or buttons? Does it attract a lot of lint? Does the 2 stage button still work? I am having trouble with my PT case (Seidio Surface).

I have a holster combo, the clip/holster and a back cover with cut out! Yes the 2 stage camera button still works....the lint I can't answer cause the phone sit on my hip!;)

Can't speak of lint either. I am off work after surgery and it only sits on my desk. I didnt put on the screen protector and using it without one right now. I never tried burst mode until now. I heard 6 shutter sounds but only seemed to have 2 photos to delete. Is that normal? Either way both burst and non burst worked easily with the case.
 
To anyone who has the defender series... Does the built in screen protector distort the clarity of the screen at all?
 
I have this and noticed this, cabo, but the rainbow doesn't affect what I'm seeing when the screen is on. Only when the screen is off is the rainbow even noticeable.

I'm wondering if it'd be wise to remove the screen protector altogether and just go without it, but leaving the rest of the Defender intact. Question: is this screen protector able to be re-inserted if removed?

You personally have the defender for this phone? I know previous models did it.... I guess I was optimistic that they would finally solve this problem.... Bummer... Well it's already been ordered I guess I'm going to have to see for myself.. :(

I'm pretty sure that 4% is the sales tax rate in Fort Collins, Co where they distribute from. It is probably just the default on their system. I would guess that it would get removed, but you could always call them and order.
 
When I tried the Defender it made the screen look like an iPhone 3G or something. Really degraded the quality.

In my experience... Not really... I guess I'll take out and keep my zagg on... Which I always do anyway....
 
Not heard of this Zagg screen protector? Are they pretty good? I did a quick search, but didn't see any for the LTEvo.. they have a lifetime warranty? (so they last at least 2 years or so lol)

They are pretty popular.. And are available in most major stores... The warranty is bulletproof.. I just had one replaced today actually... As for the product... Not very bulletproof lol.. They are ok.. But in my experience you can't beat their warranty anytime any defects appear they can be replaced with. Usually little to no problem.. But everyone has their own preferences
