Accessories Otterbox Commuter Review

Well, I had some extra cash, so I figured why not.

Seems really solid. Doesn't really have that cheap, light plastic feel. This bitch feels like it could take a gut shot from Mike Tyson.

Looking over the case on my phone, I don't see any flaws. The plastic and rubber meet perfectly. Everyone bitches about the camera hole being off tilt a little bit. I notice it barely is off... I mean like a 1/36th of an inch. So minute, I wouldn't have noticed it if I hadn't read about the problem.

Also everyone complains that the plugs for the HDMI/Charge Port and the Headphone Jack are flimsy and don't stay in place. So far this is not the case at all. I mean, a flap made out of rubber isn't going to act like it's a metal hinge... That being said, I don't see how people are having any sort of problems. They both have little notches that help keep them in place.

Pros:

  • Live the life of a Rockstar that Climbs Mountains? Yea, me neither... but you could with this bad boy.
  • Very solid construction
  • Not too expensive (I paid $34 at Sprint)
  • You can now drop your Phone and not wince in pain as you pick it up.
  • Installation is really easy, just snap, snap, boom.
Cons:

  • The included Screen Protector sucks gnarly dick (Which might be a positive if you're gay... I'm not though, so it isn't a good thing.)
  • People judge you when you buy it, assuming that you're clumsy as ****.
  • Slightly bulks up the phone (What the hell do you expect? For the phone to get lighter somehow?)
I'll take some pictures when my Fiancee gets home so you can see how it fits on my phone, etc.

Bottom Line: Buy it yeeew yeeew yeeew

Personally, I love mine. My friend gave me his for around $26 since he got the better one.

I like mine because it has the extra covers to cover the ports and headphone jack but I wish I had the one like my friend which has an added kickstand attached to the actual case.

Overall, it is one of the best cases I have ever seen and would recommend it for anyone. The price is the only downside to me.

Since you have the same case I was wondering if you are having a problem with the bottom rubber part by the buttons. Mine is popping up and not staying in.

Do you have the same one as me or the OP? If me, I am having no such problems.

Sorry for the blurry pic I am still getting use to the camera on my Rom. but as you can see the rubber down there is thin and I don't know what causes this to happen. it was not like this when I first got the case.

Yep, that's the same as mine but mine isn't having that problem.

I have had my case for about a month and a half now being brand new out of the case. That looks as if someone were bending it in odd directions or possibly taking it out of its case too many times.

I bought the case new and have only taken it out twice when using it with the car dock. I can live with it but it just a thing that gets on me from time to time.

You may have jinxed me, but I think mine is slightly like yours lol all throughout today I kept pulling my phone out of my pocket and looking at it. It does look like it's a little loose on mine. I'll upload a picture when I get to a camera later on today so you can compare.
