so I've seen a couple topics where people have chopped up their otterbox cases in order to fit an extended battery with it, can this be done for the galaxy nexus version of the otterbox defender case?
I had the otterbox defender with the original battery and the "extended battery" that is only a couple hundred mA more. Didn't have to mod the OBD that much to fit the extended. Just removed the felt on the inside of the hard plastic part. Didn't like the otter box that much. It only lasted 6months. Carrier clip broke. Got free replacement. Broke again. Hard to get phone in and out of case. Eventually gave up and ....
.... went with the Seidio 3800mA and case. Now my phone lasts all day long when I use it all day long ... Also the phone is really easy to get in and out of the case when desired. Way heavy tho.
Yea thats the one I use but if you cut that Otter to fit you would have to be surgical with whatever you use to cut it to make it look nice and neat, and Otterbox has excellent customer service and once you slice that case, warranty is gone so keep that in mind with your decision and also its only 3800mAh btw
Best of luck to you
(Disclaimer: I have never attempted anything like this, so take my advice with a grain of salt)
