Accessories Otterbox Defender Case Shipping Problems

Anyone have any idea what is going on with Otterbox and their problems in processing orders for the defender case for EVO? I received an email directly from Otterbox stating the case was in stock ready to ship on Wednesday 11/10. My card has been processed, but the website states they have no order history. Called customer service twice, and was given a very generic answer stating there is an IT glitch in their system, but not to worry my order is safe and will be shipped within a week??? What gives? Is this thing ready or not? Have been waiting since June for this case! Furthermore the customer service division of this company of which I have heard so many good things about, comes across as inept, uninformed, and downright rude to speak with. What is going on?? Have I made a mistake in ordering this protective cover for my EVO?
 
Wow take it easy and give it a day or two. Seriously man unless you've worked customer service, and I don't mean at your local Fast Food shop, the rep. you spoke to was doing their best. If you were as worked up on the phone as you seem here more likely they were responding to you in kind...

Their policy clearly states they ship within 72 hours and Thursday was a holiday as well. It'll probably ship Monday the 15 at the latest.
 
screw there policy... they are the slowest people out there. They can't ship out a simple accessory without making it all complicated..lol send the damn case, screw there holidays it's not a government firm they should have open there business up have everything packaged and ready to go for Friday. But stupid slow asses took 6 months to come up with a silicon defender case now there going to take several days/weeks to process a silicon order.

Im just saying.. lol I can't wait to see what these fools came up with after so long :)
 
Did you want yours sent USPS? If so, it's a holiday for them so they wouldn't even pick it up yesterday. I know you are anxious (as I am with most things I order) but calm down...you will get your case.
 
Order status is back up on their site. They also gave me free fedex shipping I'm guessing because of the delay.
 
Op, agree with you. I ordered their commuter and on number 2 the lcutout for the lense is still off on my camera. Not supporting them at all on the Defender case. I'll take my business to Seidio, I've been having better luck with there products. But that's just a personal preference.

Kinda dumb on their part having a big release on a day before a holiday. I'm still waiting for mine and I ordered mine within minutes of it being available Wednesday morning. It sucks but not much I can do... this will be my last order with slothbox for sure.

I called them this morning for a update and they changed the story. They said the orders were not sent because of the Holiday. That cant even be true becauses UPS did work that day....

I'm pretty sure they use fedex and usps for shipping. If you chose usps they don't work on the holiday but im not sure about fedex.
 
Got my credit card receipt from them on saturday with the fedex tracking number on the pdf receipt. Today the tracking number showed an estimated delivery of Friday 11/19. Hopefully it will come sooner but I guess I have to wait till Friday. BTW I ordered on Wednesday at 7:30am.

Me and you are not far from each other you used Fedex right? I used USPS so i guess we will see who gets it first. I also ordered mine almost the exact same time you did.
 
I ordered. Defender for me and a commuter for my wife this morning around 10 met and was told to expect my orde towards the end of next week. I even asked the rep if I was going to have to wait a month to get my cases and he chuckled and said "no it won't take a month". We'll see.

Coming from the commuter, the defender is a lot bigger. However, the case feels very sturdy. I feel like I could throw it and the phone would be fine.

We'll see how I like it after a few full days of use.
 
Have so much going on in your life that you pretty much forget you even ordered something until it shows up and you are like, "oh yeah, cool".

We'll see how I like it after a few full days of use.

I am especially interested in the built-in screen protector. The ones you put on yourself aren't cheap and mine get scratched up in a few days. Hopefully this will work well.

Do you think Sprint will have it in stores soon? And would it be cheaper to buy it directly from sprint?

I assumed it would be faster to buy it from them but apparently that's wasn't the case with me. That's the last time I'll buy direct from them that's for sure. At this rate sprint should have before I get it and if you're a premiere customer you get 25% off on accessories.
