Otterbox

Done, thanks. Hillarious that they say that even though that case isn't out yet, it's been 'coming soon' for quite a while

yea i imagine by all intents and purposes that it will fit just fine they just want the nexus s 4g to be out to make sure (to cover their bases). from an common sense standpoint it should fit without a hitch, the silicon on the inside should be able to absorb that .52mm size difference. i imagine that since the glass is curved they just dont want to say its fine without proving it, lest there be extra pressure from the back to cause the screen to snap

Got an email from otterbox saying they won't be making the case after all:

Dear Customer,

Due to unforeseen delays in production, OtterBox will not be launching the Defender Series case for the Samsung Nexus S. We remain committed to providing products of only the highest quality and will continue to evaluate protective solutions for upcoming devices in the Nexus series. We apologize for any inconvenience.

Sincerely,

Customer Service Department

Yeah they really have dropped the ball on this one. Phone's been out for at leats a year between here and EU yet they don't have enough market to go to production. I had e-mailed an inquiry to them about cases for my new (May) Nexus S and received 4 different responses. Wanted to go with them because of their reputation in the service/LE industries. Oh well - have to look else where for a forward thinking 'global' manufacturer.
Has anyone here tried the Trident Cyclops for the Nexus S? I would really like a rugged protective case with a belt clip feature. (p.s. - I just joined to post this and thought I may be missing out on info already available here! I'll go back and search too! LOL):o

wonder if the seidio only fits t mobile too .want to get nexus s hope they get an otterbox for it

I have the seidio case for my Nexus S with Sprint. Fits perfectly. I haven't dropped it yet (on purpose or accident) but it looks like it would be able to handle the fall pretty well.

Yeah, that was one reason why I picked up my case from a Sprint store - just wanted something designed for the Nexus S 4g, rather then get one originally designed for a slightly smaller phone.
