Root [OUDHS] CM-10 for Galaxy Reverb from Jimmy422 and Interloper

hey interloper i know its not much but #2A342294DB4942823 should help towards buying a reverb now that they are on sale :).

haha like i said its not much, i emptied my entire paypal balance :P

If I could get $50, I would buy it from VirginMobile at the sale price.

DO YOU HEAR THAT COMMUNITY? I am willing to put up HALF the money to help YOU, just cuz I love Android. But, the offer is only good through the night. Sorry it came so late and after I spent $600 on tires, $900 at the vet, $700 on a buildbox and my wife is dying of cancer. (I'm kidding about the perspective, but not the facts)

Cheers and OUT!

I'd really like to keep the Victory. Thanks for the offer though.

No problem, whatever you want to do man. I was serious though. If you ever need help getting a new device, I'll gladly donate $50 to you.

Always great full for the massive amount of help and work the OUDHS team does for us Android users ;-)

I'm watching the one on ebay. If it stays at $95-105 I'll bid a couple times.

I had enough spare time to flash ani's kernel, which happily outputted a nice kernel log. This is basically the stock kernel, so any error messages here can be fixed in mine. The logcat is stopping in the same spot as previously posted.

dmesg reverb - Pastebin.com

Somebody who knows what they're looking at (Interloper?!) take a look and let me know what's up.

A quick look through and this was all that stood out, easily fixable.

add what you see causing errors to an extracted bootable zip, Leave out the stuff that actually says Samsung, and shabby's momma, and zipsign it. Then, do it again. Keep doing it until the levee breaks. Also, edit the ramdisk files to remove whatever you don't want, like them Sammy props...get it? Got it? good!

what partition is mmcblk0p20 supposed to be?

That's a good question. I don't think it's anything.

Although it's showing up in proc/partitions...

for some reason your init's are trying to mount it as an ext4 partition, if its in mount on stock then you should be able to see what the proper mounting options are :)

Its mounted as ext4 on stock. I have not modified the stock mount options in the ramdisk so the mount options in my kernel build should be stock, unless somebody else modded it before me. Actually I have not modified the Reverb ramdisk at all, looks like somebody modded the ro.secure before I got to it and added init.d support in init.rc.

Here are the stock mount and options:
