Snowy and white here and I am warm in doors eating the Christmas biscuits, damn you Morrisons for having them on offer last week. Oh well I'll have to pay full price next week to replace them. Just done pics on the 10 and the 8 and have to say I prefer the 8's image. Going to do one more using the snow and beach setting then I'll upload them.

Loving your pics and your dog X10iuser! We lost our old lady last week, so it made me feel all nostalgic for a moment but she wouldn't have liked all the white stuff.

My pics look really grey but think it is because it was really fine snowing which you can't really see.

We lost our old lady last week

Really sorry to hear that, I had to have my last dog PTS so I know how hard it is too lose such a friend, welled up just thinking about him, but know he's at Rainbow bridge now as your dear friend will be.

In regards to your pics, the X8 seems to have a bit better colour but the X10 looks slightly sharper.

You have just made me blub! Miss her lots but she was 16.5 so she did well but it was still a hard decision. Mind you looking at the snow she'd have really struggled so perhaps in the end it was the right time.

I wasn't using any apps, just play a bit with the white metering makes a huge difference.

How do you guys get such detailed photos off your X10???? Are you using any additional apps??

I Dont use any other apps, just use the single auto focus option and wait till the box goes green when snapping, which is hold the button half way, the cam will focus and beep, u will notice the box changes from white, to green, at that point fully press the button.

here are a couple of my Leopard Gecko using the Macro Mode, again straight from x10 STOCK cam.

SOOOOoooo.. the 2.1 automatically makes your video 720p? I notice when i have my video cam ready to film there is a HD symbol in the top left. I guess that means its at its hightest quality right? after 2.1 update there is no need to install anything else to get the full 'HD' video recording?

yes your right, no need for anything else and the hd symbol does mean it's set at HD.

WOW - ive seen that Cam360 didnt think an app could change the quality, but that looks ace. Ill be looking closer ar Cam360 me thinks..

Oh and for info purposes, we didn't change any settings, just kept it standard - alhough when we got back and uploaded i noticed mine was set to MACRO and BEACH AND SNOW - this may explain the blue tinge (or the fact they were taken 3pm and later lol)

Will test again tomorrow if weather aint too bad
