Out of Contract Purchase...

I had my last phone stolen a few months ago and have been waiting for the Nexus. I am going to go pick it up in about an hour but wanted to get y'alls opinion on best way to handle it.

Should I purchase it for the full retail value of $650 OR add a line for $10 a month for two years and get it for $300.

Doing the math the second option comes out to $540 but I was wondering if there were any hidden costs or trouble spots I may see.

Any help would be great.

You'll have to add data, so the cost of #2 goes way up.

Unless... and I doubt it.... you can buy the second line, then use a basic phone to fulfill that side of the contract.

The guy I have an appointment with said he could just put my oldest, dumb phone on that number after switching it over to my new phone. So hopefully I wont need data on that extra line
