Outlook calendar sync

Hi all, new to the forum, so please tell me if I need to move this question to another sub-forum.
My father-in-law just bought a new Motorola Moto G phone. He had an HTC Desire and the calendar was sync'd by using the phone's software "HTC Sync". We are trying to find a simple way to get the calendar from outlook sync'd with the new phone. Does anyone have any suggestions please? There doesn't seem to be any Motorola software bundled or even available for download that will do this..

Welcome to the forums. I'm sorry I can't answer your question about syncing with Outlook. I haven't used it in many years, since I found out about Google Calendar. I hope you get an answer to your question though.

I have used Outlook as my master resource for years.

The approach that many people to sync Google to/from Outlook and then sync each phone to/from Google.

I currently run two apps on my workstation ... sync calendars ... sync contacts.

Google then syncs to each of my phones based on the sync options set in each.
