Help Outlook, HTC Sync & Desire

Hi all,
I have searched for this before posting but can't find exactly the same.

I use Outlook 2007 for work and have a large contacts file.

I use 'Full Name', 'Company' & 'File as' as my first 3 columns.

eg.
Full Name Company Name File As
Joe Bloggs Acme Acme, Bloggs, Joe

The trouble is that a lot of contacts are stored with just a first name and there are a lot of people with same names.

On my desire, in 'People' only the names are shown, no companies, so unless i know which Joe it is I have to inspect the contact first before dialling.

I used to have the full name saved as 'First Name' - Acme Co. then 'Last Name' as Joe Bloggs.

I have over 500 contacts and really could do without editing every single contact in Outlook.

Any suggestions on how to change the view in HTC Desire or a quick way to chnage them in Outlook?

Have you looked at 3rd party contact managers, like go for example? Not sure if they'll help or not but best I can.offer

I agree with SUroot - a 3rd party app is most likely your best option. Some, including ours, will even sync directly with Outlook. Take a look at Sync Android/Droid with Outlook/Exchange for a nice list of what's out there.

In terms of a reliable sync and ability to edit contacts I can recommend MyPhoneExplorer which is free.
To search and display Companies then I use Contacts Plus - again free.
