Over under on days til root

Let's set an over under on the amount of time it takes to get the Inspire rooted.

I'm thinking 2 weeks is a good place to set it.

Me personally, I'm taking the under.

Unless HTC did something different with this phone, I would say under. Though I did vote over. Just to be safe, and possibly be right. Anyways, I'm not all that anxious about rooting very fast. I would like the chance to get to know Sense UI some so that I have some background knowledge about it before I put custom ROM's on it.

Personally, I'm more than likely going to keep Sense on the Inspire, but would like to just get rid of a few AT&T apps that I won't use. I guess it doesn't make much difference if it's permanent or not.

what is temp root?

in the mobiletech review of the inspire (see review thread page 6?) they stated the following:

As with the HTC T-Mobile G2, the Inspire has rather a large ROM that self restores if need be, and this uses a good deal of the internal flash storage.

wasn't the g2 harder to root? how does this affect things?
