Overage Charge

Say I have the 4GB data plan.

Say I use 6 GBs of Data. ($20 Overage Fee).

If I go to the My Verizon App will my balance be updated with the overage fee in it? Or does it not add it on till the end of the billing period?

You'll see the charge on your billing statement so yeah, you won't see it until end of the billing cycle.

Moved to the VZW forums.

If you on a stock phone and use the wireless tether you will need to have a hotspot feature on your current plan to use it. If you are rooted and using a root enabled tethering app it would not report to VZW that you are tethering and you would be drawing from your normal data plan.

That. If they had added tethering to your plan, they would have notified you by now.

as long as you have unlimited data, yes.

side note...are you talking about downloading to the phone? if thats the case, you dont need a wireless tether app. tether apps are to connect another wifi enabled device (ie laptop, tablet) to the phones internet. if you have wifi at your house, your phone can connect to that and you wont have to even bother with data usage while on wifi
