Hello all, can I have a rooted admire with 2.3.6 stock rom.. can I overclock with out flashing my current rom?

yes just get the CWM and Kernel zip from the Cyanmogenmod 7.2 thread and flash it. then get a cpu controller from the playstore

I flashed the cm72rc1-kernal.zip and when it reboots it goes to the anroid screen and it just sits there? any ideas?

That kernel is not compatible with the stock 2.3.6 rom

Yup so if you want to overclock you're gonna have to flash a different rom.
