Root Overclocking question

Hey all, I just rooted for the first time about 30 minutes ago. I just have a quick question about overclocking, actually 2. The first is, is there a way to overclock on the GB ota Rom that got pushed out the other day? Also, if there is, do I have to install a new kernel, or what should I install?

Thanks in advance for any help.

I think the OTA kernel is not able to be overclocked so you would need to install a new one, I am not a sense user so I can't give any good recomendations but I know the kernel source was released so there will likely be some updates to the current kernels in the next few days

imoseyon's Sense kernels have always worked great for me when I'm on sense
Look over in the thunderbolt section of rootzwiki

So I should flash a new kernel? Or would it be easier to just flash a new rom. Also, would I be able to backup my current Rom using the recovery program that is installed with revolutionary?
