is anyone overclocking with ginger? i can use tegrak but it screws up and the phone restarts.

if you are overclocking with gingerbread or serendipity 7 let us know how please.

You will have to do a kernel swap, probably to talon. I never saw a reason to overclock any of the 2.3.x rims though. They all seem to run fast enough to me

I was going to say the same thing. Many on GB now are not bothering with OC/UV from what I've read. I've never done it at all, the phone has always seemed quick enough for me once I started with the custom ROMs.

I guess cm7 it is. S7 seems to be behind on the kernels for oc. I know some of you don't care, but I want my pigs to fly.

The last update must be compatible. I am running at 1.2ghz all morning and have yet to crash. Gonna put it on 1.3 a little later and see what happens.

And for those non believers who think gb alone is good enough, it is snappier with the oc. Again, pigs fly.

Did you use a different Kernel? Or did you stick with the one that came with the S7 setup? Im curious to know if Tegrak will work with this.

I just thought I'd make this clear, of course overclocking will improve speed, but the minimal speed increase isnt worth the damage being done to the phone for me. thats for people coming in here who may not know

I don't know if you're set on sticking with S7, but I wasn't happy with it at all. So I went back to trusty Mosaic V. Last night I tried out the Talon Snail kernel. 1400 mhz version without any OC/UV yet is the fastest I've ever seen my phone. And battery life is still holding out great.

I used Tegrak with S7 and had it successfully running 1.3. I only ran it for a day, but it passed all stability tests and I didn't notice anything too bad.

What govenor r u using? I still crash after about five minutes on 1.3ghz. 1.2ghz is super stable for me.
