Root overclocking the DX

I am running apex 1-4. I dont know how to OC via the tool box. what are some other options and recommend cpu speeds for the DX ?

There's overclocking, which gets you more speed, smoother animations and decreased battery life.

Then there's undervolting, which gets you better battery life.

If you do both, higher top speed with a lower voltage, you get the best of both worlds. Every phone is different tho. Some phones achieve faster speeds or lower voltages (or both).

I'm overclocked with jRummy's Overclock and use QuickClock to establish lower voltage profiles. Both are apps worth buying. QuickClock is adding a lot of new features like stress testing. I'm running 1250 @ 65.

If you're only going to get one, I'd go with QC. If you tap the menu button, the help file tells how to use it. I find that bumping up the min VSEL voltage it detects by 2 or 3 will save you some time getting it stable.

The developer of QC is quick to reply to problems and has make a lot of changes in the last couple months.

Bear in mind that overclocking or undervolting can cause instability and/or loss of data. That's why I recommend bumping up the detected lowest voltage by 2 or 3 to increase stability.

65 is the min voltage?...I am at 35 through Overclock. should i go higher?... btw 1250 on the other end.

Correct, I'm at:
300@19
650@36
950@51
1250@67

I had lower voltages but due to little incidents here and there were raised to these numbers, which have been good for me so I stick with them. What kind of battery improvement can I get with 2 less volts?
