Root Overclocking?underclocking?

[darkside]

So I just upgraded from a original droid rooted and overclocked, but thought that there was no way to overclock the x because of not being able to install kernels. But I've seen people overclocked on their x and couldn't find any information on it out how to do it. Can anyone point me in the right direction.

I'm rooted running apex.

Did you try XDA under Dev?

... or search here for overclock. It's probably on the "root" page, maybe the next. It gets discussed about every other day.

you can always buy the app on the market, which is called Droid X Overclock by Jrummy16

Ya I just recently got the app and overclock advanced. Still figuring out all the things to be able to do with it. I'm just used to flashing a kernel to get more speed.

i use overclocking app and SetCPU app combination, since I like the UI of SetCPU and it's easier to set up all the setting for my phone

I'm not as I'm using droid overclock to customize my profiles, mostly worried about battery life, so undervolting is more what I'm concerned with.
