Help Overheating problem?

Flubatron

Newbie
Basically, if i play any games for about 10 minutes the phone gets hot. Not like a boiling, burn your fingers hot, but hot enough to cause the phone to power off/restart. It gets hot from general use too, browsing the internet and such... This cant be normal can it?

Its getting hot under the battery near the sim card, and the front of the phone gets hot too.

I know this may have been posted before but i looked at the other threads suggested about overheating and they didnt apply, so sorry if theres been an answer before ^_^

Thanks in advance!

You haven't overclocked or anything?

What game are you experiencing the issues on, I'd like to try it out...

The game is Bonsai Blast, its a free game on the marketplace.

However, i was browsing the internet earlier and even that was enough to make it overheat and restart :/

Well its insured, so i'm sure i could take it back if its faulty. And in answer to a previous question (that i missed...) Its not overclocked no, i've not really changed too much tbh.

I've spent many an hour playing Bonsai Blast and it's not caused my phone to overheat or restart. Definitely sounds like you have a faulty phone or battery.

Mine gets quite hot too, usually towards the bottom of the device. I thought this was normal? No one elses gets hot after browsing on full brightness?

It depends what you mean by hot. Obviously it will get warm with use but normal use shouldn't cause it to overheat and power off.

I use an app called Battery Left to keep an eye on my battery temperature. It ranges from twentysomething degrees when idle up to fortysomething after intensive use. The highest temperature I have seen was 49.9 degrees after a whole day of intensive Google Navigation use. Even that didn't cause my phone to restart.

It may always be a faulty battery, remember all those battery recalls from various devices.
Best to get it sorted out from a safety issue.
