Overly sensitive auto-rotate?

I've noticed that the auto-rotate is VERY touchy - it doesn't take much to trigger it, and I end up in landscape mode even when I really don't want to be. Any tips for this? Is there a fix, or do I just have to turn it off?

Interesting you should post this question. Last weekend I commented to my wife just the opposite. I think there is too much of a delay in the auto-rotate on my phone.

Yes the auto rotate is terrible, switching from portrait to landscape when you don't want it to! To add to that, it is then not quick enough when you actually want it to turn.

I found an app called 'auto-rotate off' which you can easily use to toggle it on/off by long-pressing the search key. Not perfect, but makes it more useable.
