Owners: Screen Protector

I got an Otterbox defender case and the protective shell has its own screen protector. The Verizon salesperson installed it for me and at first, I thought I was actually touching the Nexus' screen. Had no idea it was a built in screen protector until I got home and removed the outer shell. The screen responsiveness isn't affected at all.
 
I used Phantom Skinz for my Incredible and absolutely loved them. It comes with two in a pack (and I needed both after I didn't follow directions on first installation), and they will replace for free if something goes wrong (on second installation, I noticed a tear after putting it on and they sent me two more free of charge). I had it on there from day 1, for about a year and a half, until it was ripped off by a lesser-than-mildly-intelligent cousin of mine who thought I was stupid for keeping "the original screen protector on from when i bought the phone (I threw in this part because no one else would appreciate my frustration when this happened.

Anyway, screen clarity diminished only slightly when I used them and the slight rubbery feel actually was a positive for me as it helped when typing using swype. I would recommend them unless you don't like the wet application protectors. I had a problem at first with this, but after trying it, it wasn't so bad except the whole leaving your phone off for 24 hours.
 
I've been using DINC since 04/10, and ended up with few fine scratches that you see if you hold it up against certain angle with certain amount of light (Read: nothing meaningful) and I'm sure that was not one of those famous "Gorilla Glass" product. Last smartphone I had to worry about scratch was Samsung Omnia and that was plastic screen all the way >.> I think I'll keep Nexus without protector, just have to keep my finger clean ^^

I could be wrong, but I think the DINC actually did use gorilla glass.
 
I am kind of in the same boat. I am looking for both a case and protector. I've used both wet and dry applications and I'm not sure I have a preference. I ended up going with the crappy Verizon pack after trying numerous cheapies off of ebay and not being satisfied. I tried a Zagg on my Incredible and find it impossible to use. After two weeks it felt weird and just didn't look as crisp. I carried the Incredible in a Nexus pouch instead, worked great.

I would really like to keep the nice slimness of the phone. I wish I knew how much bigger the external battery made the phone and if there were any cases that supported it. Yeah, I wanna keep it slim... but I also am coming from a Thunderbolt... and it's a chunky beast.

Similar boat, over 2 years with the OG Droid with no case, screen protector or anything.

There are tiny scratches here and there if you look at a side angle with glare but it's completely unnoticeable even if you're looking for it with the screen on. It's fallen a couple times on concrete so I'd imagine that's the end product of most of those falls.
