Root Oxygen ROM CPU settings

Meh

Well-Known Member
Anyone here got experience of messing with the CPU settings in Oxygen 2.1.4? There are also governers available for powersaving and performance. Are there any stability issues with these and what are the provable benefits?

Theyre all the same, no matter what rom you're on. These settings are kernal related.

Powersave runs constantly at lowest set freqnecy so dont use that as your phone will be almost unusable.

Performance is the opposite, always runs at highest frequency7 so you'll burn electricity.

On demand or conservative are the best governors IMO. I use On demand.

Ah right, I shall ignore power saver then! Will have a play with the other settings. Just trying to cram a bit more battery life out of the handset with minimal noticeable performance loss (shoddy network speeds bottleneck browsing and make video a no-no anyway).

Cheers.

I have recompiled _thalamus' kernel and added the conservative governor. Then I have installed the kernel and activated it. I advise you to stay away from this governor no matter what kernel you use. It drains your battery quite fast. Stick with ondemand.

Never had a problem with conv myself, but to be fair I haven't used it for lengths of time. I still prefered On demand. Thanks for your input.
