Root P3113 with Cyanogen

My wife wants to debloat her tab and I'd like to put CM on it seeing as how I like to play around on it as well. I'm aware that there isn't a version for the 3113 to include the IR blaster in the build and if I want to use CM that the page says to use 3110 and its fully stable. Is there a patch to work the IR blaster into this? Or am I just going to have to do without if I put CM on the tab?

Thank you Tokenpoke, but is there a simpler option than a dual boot?

Not if you want cm AND ir blaster.

Dualboot adds only a couple steps to the flashing process and once installed is pretty simple.
Just power up and choose either primary or secondary system.
I keep cm as secondary.

I think the most recent 10.2 versions with Android 4.3 have working IR blaster. I installed 10.2 for the GT-P3110/3113 on mine. Restored Peel from titanium backup and it worked.

OK, still learning on Roms, it is the unofficial rom from codyf86, guessing he forked the CM10.2 and added the iR drivers to his release.

Alright, cool. Thanks for the info. Could you link me the tutorial?

Oh, man! I'm so sorry, I actually did shoot the video and tried uploading but I didn't know I had to verify account for long videos.

Unfortunately I deleted it last week and had forgotten why I even did it in the first place.

Its cool. I've got the latest on there but we haven't bothered with the ir blaster. Its running great though.

Good to know.

The latest is actually a kitkat (4.4) port by Cody at xda. Its only like a week or so old, and unofficial beta still but it's 99.9% working except for a couple apps like stock browser having graphical glitches but chrome works fine. Oh, and No ir yet. Biggest thing I don't like is its not flashable with the dual boot cwm system.

Yeah, I'm running his 4.4 on my already. I've switched the runtime mode to ART. I think while multi-tasking and switching, opening additional apps it seams faster than before turning ART on, but I was only running DALVIK on 4.4 for about 15 minutes, so it may be just 4.4 is better.

When I turn the ignition on in my car Waze and the media overlay I made in Tasker is on the screen faster now than when I was on 4.3. I'm still having some issues with my media overlay in Waze, track and artist info is not updating right. Maybe a bug with Media Utilities with 4.4 as it was working fine with 4.3. But with pause/play and skip working it is worth having them on the screen.
