can anyone say if paid apps transfer to a different phone? i will be going from the eris to the dinc(sometime in 2012 it seems) and paid for apps on the eris. so, do they go by your phone number or your ein. i hope the phone number, cuz i would hate too pay for apps all over again..wouldnt seem fair cuz the eris will be wiped and returned. i couldnt find an answer to this anywhere.

Should be tied to the Google account you used to set up your market account... but I could be mistaken.

Yes. They follow you to your new phone. I had a Droid, got the Dinc, and when in the Market it shows as purchased.

Thank god for that, Blackberries had apps tied to the PIN number, therefore most apps were sold as a 'per device' license. It sucked the big one. Glad thats all over now that we are on android heh.

thats good to know. due to the wait i have been purchasing some, but didnt want to do too many cuz of that. only problem will be shapewriter. it is marked private, so it couldnt even be backed up. i noticed lots of paid apps are private. thats why i asked....btw, anywhere to download shapewriter. i think it was free anyway, so it shouldnt break any rules here
