Paint Damaged after drop - solutions?

Greetings all!!!

Well, had my phone for a month and today was the day it had its first drop :-(

Funny (in a kind of bad way) that every time I have dropped my previous phones, they have always been in a case and ended up damaged. Today was no exception!!!

On that note actually, I really cant recommend the soft silicon case from Mobile Fun. That was covering my Desire HD today and despite that I have managed to get a small, quite noticeable scratch on my phone from where it hit tarmac from where I got out my car and it fell out my pocket. The case must of peeled off in my pocket on the corner where the nice finish of the phone is now replaced with the bare silver metal.

So onto solutions....does anybody know the actual paint colour of the case - the part near the top by the power switch, but opposite side) or where I can get said paint from. I have been to a local hobby craft and to Halfords but cant get the exact match. My next plan is to goto Focus or B&Q (bear with me!) and see if they can do a colour match.

That is, unless anyone else has a suggestion (Please!!) or I wonder if HTC would fix up the paint damage?

Thank you in advance...
Cheers
Graham

well, its really very sad, I had read some more incident like that, dont know how to get the original paint back, u can start using a leather case for it from now

and why dont u contact htc customer support or the shop from where u bought and talk to them about it if HTC can fix it

Little thought, You could always keep it in a case... a better, new one. And never see the scratch?

I intend to do that Mike, and as been said in a better case! Also see your not to far away from me on the M5...

If I can lessen the impact of the visible damage though, that would be good
