Help Pairing Galaxy W to laptop

Hi all, Had a new phone for christmas and now starting to work out how ot use it I have tried to pair it with my laptop running windows 7 (bluetooth and USB) it installs but fails to find a driver. I have then searched for the driver but still ends up with driver not found. Any idea's?

no ideas im afraid but i am having a similar problem as when try to connect my phone to my laptop through bluetooth i get a message saying what OS is your phone and the only options are windows or symbian which the Galaxy W is neither so it wont connect any else have this problem?

btw my USB connection works fine for it.

Hi Ricky,
Had my W for only 2 days, and am now trying to link with KIES through USB - keeps coming up with 'connection error' and Sams useless. Laptop picks up fone on Windows Explorer, and I can 'see' everything on it. On trouble shooting, KIES says the fone is not in the correct mode, but should be in ' Samsung Kies (PC Studio) mode'. No details of this in manual or on Sams website !!!
Any HELP here !!!!!

Hi Pete,
If you download KIES it will automatically get the correct driver !!!

Samsung Kies requires that you:

do not have USB Debugging checked!!

Settings/Applications/Development.... unchecked it there.......

I know, it's counter intuitive.....but that is Samsung.....

Most folks abandon Kies in favour of ODIN, which works as you would expect......and then move on to custom Recovery for flashing, backups, etc.

We now have ClockworkMod Recovery for this fone, and some custom ROM's, new OC kernel...and lot's more.....
