Palm Pre' to Droid 3

In changing from palm pre to Droid 3 I was unable to sync my contacts from the Palm to the Droid. Verizon told me that Palm does not have a sim card?? who knows ... they said I could sync it by signing into my google account. This worked although it didn't capture all of my contacts from my Palm and I also now have all my facebook friends as contacts.

Problem is there are multiple entries that I would like to combine. In the book it has on page 24 Link contacts but when I hit Menu there is not a Link contact button available.

Help??

Also it doesn't appear we have the capability to use Visual Voicemail?

If you go into the contact you can "join" the Facebook and Google contact. Usually if the name is EXACTLY the same in your contacts as it is in FB they will do so automatically. As for your contacts, you would have had to sync them all from your Pre to Google before they would go to your DROID 3.

By default the Palm Pre stores all your contact information on the Palm Profile, so unless you had changed that to use your Google profile then the contacts would not be available.

Did you have Preware installed? There is a patch called "Send All Contacts Via E-Mail" to export all contacts as an e-mail attachment. Then you can import that file into your Google account.
