Pandora and stock alarm issue

I have an unrooted note 3 on AT&T,
when I install Pandora the alarm icon disappears from the notification bar and will not work. I was told it had something to do with Pandora own alarm. Is there a fix available.

Maybe it's an AT&T thing? I don't have that problem on my T-Mobile. I have Pandora running and I can see the alarm clock icon as long as I have an alarm set.
