Since upgrading to jelly bean I have taken some panoramic pictures but in the last few days when I have taken a panoramic shot I can't then find it, Is there a setting somewhere that puts panoramic photos somewhere different?

Since Jelly Bean, Android 4.1.x, has not been released for the Samsung Galaxy S2, GT-i9100/G/M/P/T, you must be rooted and on anyone of a number of pre-release custom ROM's. In which case, you will need to ask the developer.

Alternatively, if it allows it, you could display one of the panorama shots in Gallery and press Menu > More > Details and see if it shows File location.

Apologies, I was confused, that should have been since upgrading to ICS! There are no other pictures in the 'panoramic' folder! I have used Astro file manager which found a lot of jpg files but none of them are the missing pictures.

I just don't know where they have gone!

So, you're actually talking about an app that you've installed and not part of the OS. After taking a Panorama shot and re-booting your phone, does it appear in Gallery?

I thought that the upgrade to Android 4 included the ability to take panoramic shots!

I have taken a panorama shot, rebooted the phone but the picture is still not in the gallery. I last successfuly took a panoramic shot on 26th August.

I noticed when I was taking the panorama shot (as soon as I changed the shooting mode setting to panorama) that there was a 0/8 in the bottom right corner, when I took a picture it changed to 1/8, then 2/8 and so on. I took a full set of 8 pictures and that single panoramic shot appeared in the gallery!

I didn't previously have to take 8 shots and I don't think it particularly makes sense to have to take 8, or even pre-specify how many shots make up a panoramic shot.

Firstly, had no idea we could take panoramic pics so nice one! I am sure i searched for the option in 4.0.3 and couldn't find it, so maybe it's a 4.0.4 feature?

Anyway, I just tested it and it works really well and the picture is in my gallery too. My gallery is a bit of a mess so had to look at a couple of folders before spotting it (have 4 folder all called camera for some unknown reason!).

I have figured out what I was doing wrong - I was assuming that the camera could tell when I had taken enough shots but you do have to press the 'take photograph' button to tell it that you have finished - but it will automatically do that when you reach the maximum of 8 shots.

Cheers
